Super Bowl Sunday! Full of friends, football, parties, and most importantly FOOD! Dips, wings, BBQ, cookies, cakes, brownies. The list of yummy finger foods goes on! Don’t get me wrong. I’m a fan of all of these foods, but I also hate leaving a party feeling like I just ate my weight in fried food and sweets. It would be nice to have some healthier options at parties other than a veggie tray. That’s why I created this easy fruit dip you can make for your super bowl party. You can whip it up in just 5 minutes. Plus it only needs 5 ingredients! It is not a super specific recipe so you can kind of mix it all to taste. I promise, your friends and family will love this!
I make a smaller batch of this dip for myself all the time! It is so versatile! You can serve it with fruits, eat it on it’s own, or even put it on a piece of toast. Plus it has lots of protein! I used Siggi’s Dairy plain non-fat yogurt to make mine. One of the reasons I love their yogurt is because it has 2 to 3 times more protein than your standard yogurt. Just one 5.3oz serving (one single serve container) has 15 grams of protein! That’s awesome! Then add PB2 to the mix and you’ve got yourself one protein packed dip! If you can’t find Siggi’s Yogurt, plain Greek yogurt works great too!
Are you ready for the 5 magic ingredients? I bet you already have most of them!
Cinnamon
Honey
PB2
Natural Peanut Butter
Siggi’s Plain Non-Fat Yogurt (or plain non-fat Greek yogurt)
This recipe will serve about three people. If you need more, just double or triple it. Serve with fresh fruits like grapes, apples, and strawberries. I served mine with apples and it was a hit! The sweetness and crunch of the apple balances the rich creaminess of the dip.
I hope you all have a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday! Go Broncos! (or should I say Go Peyton)!
